Brunei to View Partial Solar Eclipse 22 July 2009

Above: Stages of the solar eclipse as the Moon pass in front of the sun.

Bandar Seri Begawan – People in Brunei will have the opportunity to observe a partial solar eclipse on wednesday morning, July 22.

The astronomical wonder is expected to start at 8.48 a.m. local time when the moon will make its first contact with the sun.

If weather conditions permitted, the partial eclipse can be viewed for 1 hour and 34 minutes.

At 9.33 a.m. the maximum visibility will take place when only 8.3 percent of the sun will be obscured by the moon. The last stages of the eclipse will occur at 10.22 a.m.

The spectacular event should be observed with precautions. Eclipse watchers are advised to avoid looking at the sun directly with the naked eyes, through a telescope or binoculars as these may cause damage to the eyesight. Proper solar filters or eclipse glasses must be used for observation.

A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth. It is an uncommon celestial event as the three bodies are rarely perfectly aligned. The next partial solar eclipse visible in this country is set to occur next year on January 15, 2010.

Michael Jackson- You are my life

You Are My Life

Once all alone
I was lost in a world of strangers
No one to trust
On my own, I was lonely
You suddenly appeared
It was cloudy before but now it's all clear
You took away the fear
And you brought me back to the light

[CHORUS]
You are the sun
You make me shine
Or more like the stars
That twinkle at night
You are the moon
That glows in my heart
You’re my daytime my nighttime
My world
You are my life

Now I wake up everyday
With this smile upon my face
No more tears, no more pain
‘Cause you love me
You help me understand
That love is the answer to all that I am
And I’m a better man
Since you taught me by sharing your life

[CHORUS 2x]

You gave me strength
When I wasn’t strong
You gave me hope when all hope was lost
You opened my eyes when I couldn’t see
Love was always here waiting for me [Chorus 3x]

hujan ribut tengah hari

Half Of H1N1 Patients Have Been Cured

Bandar Seri Begawan - More than half of the total number of Influenza A (H1N1) patients in the country have either successfully completed their treatment or has been discharged from the hospital.

According to reports by the Ministry of Health yesterday, 123 Influenza A (H1N1) patients, out of 239, have recovered. This total includes 32 new infections that were confirmed yesterday.

The remaining 86 cases are being treated at their own homes while the remainders are being treated at the normal isolation wards at the hospitals.

Meanwhile, 650 close contacts of those infected have also completed their quarantine period since the infection was first detected in the country.

In its attempt to prevent any further spread of the infection, the ministry once again reminded the public, parents and guardians in particular, to continuously monitor the health of their children and if possible, to check their body temperatures and health condition before sending them to school.

Parents with children who have developed symptoms of Influenza A (HIN1) have been urged to refrain from sending the children to school and to immediately seek medical attention.

They have been also urged to avoid sending children for extracurricular activities, extra or tuition classes and to keep them isolated from other family members and friends.

Cooperation from the public is also stressed as the spread of respiratory infections can be reduced by maintaining a good personal hygiene.

This can be done by practising frequent handwashing with soap and water or disposable tissues with alcohol or disinfectants.

Proper cough and sneezing etiquette are also to be followed. This includes the covering of one's nose and mouth when sneezing or coughing and to discard used tissues safely into rubbish bins.

Symptoms of H1N1 flu include fever, runny nose, cough, sore throat, breathing difficulties, joint pains, headache, dizziness, diarrhoea and vomiting.

More information, updates and developments of HIN1 flu can be obtained by calling its healthline at 145 during office hours and 8220991 during non-working hours.

Michael Jackson's Family Planning Islamic Funeral

Alhamdulillah, it now looks certain that Michael Jackson funeral will be according to the Islamic rites.

Michael Jackson reportedly has converted to Islam in late 2008 and adopted the name Mikaeel, which is the name of one of Allah's angels. Now, when there is still question of where the late superstar will be laid to rest, a new report has just emerged that he will be buried in a traditional Muslim funeral.

"The family is considering following the Muslim burial traditions because they believe Michael would have wanted to be laid to rest in keeping with his new-found religious beliefs," a source close to the family stated. The insider continued telling X17 Online, "Michael's brother Jermaine is educating the family as to the special rites because he feels it's important to bury his brother according to the Muslim way."

Previously, there was rumor that Michael's body will be embalmed instead of being buried in his Islamic faith. The speculation raised since there was no indication that his body would be buried within two days of his death as dictated by the Koran.

Man In The Mirror - Michael Jackson

Man In The Mirror

Ooh ooh ooh aah
Gotta make a change
For once in my life
It's gonna feel real good
Gonna make a difference
Gonna make it right

As I turned up the collar on
A favorite winter coat
This wind is blowin' my mind
I see the kids in the street
With not enough to eat
Who am I to be blind
Pretending not to see their needs

A summer's disregard
A broken bottle top
And a one man's soul
They follow each other
On the wind ya' know
'Cause they got nowhere to go
That's why I want you to know

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change, yey
Na na na, na na na, na na na na oh ho

I've been a victim of
A selfish kinda love
It's time that I realize
There are some with no home
Not a nickel to loan
Could it be really pretending that they're not alone

A willow deeply scarred
Somebody's broken heart
And a washed out dream
(Washed out dream)
They follow the pattern of the wind ya' see
'Cause they got no place to be
That's why I'm starting with me

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make that change

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
(Man in the mirror, oh yeah)
I'm asking him to change his ways, yeah
(Change)
No message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make the change
You gotta get it right, while you got the time
'Cause when you close your heart
(You can't close your, your mind)
Then you close your mind

(That man, that man, that man)
(That man, that man, that man)
(With the man in the mirror, oh yeah)
(That man you know, that man you know)
(That man you know, that man you know)
I'm asking him to change his ways
(Change)
No message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself then make that change

(Na na na, na na na, na na na na)
Ooh
Oh yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
(Na na na, na na na, na na na na)

Oh no
Oh no, I'm gonna make a change
It's gonna feel real good
Sure mon
(Change)
Just lift yourself
You know, you got to stop it yourself
(Yeah)
Oh
Make that change
(I gotta make that change today, oh)
(Man in the mirror)
You got to, you got to not let yourself, brother oh
Yeah
You know that
(Make that change)
(I gotta make that make me then make)
You got, you got to move
Sure mon, sure mon
You got to
(Stand up, stand up, stand up)
Make that change
Stand up and lift yourself, now
(Man in the mirror)
Make that change
(Gonna make that change, sure mon)
(Man in the mirror)
You know it, you know it, you know it, you know
(Change)
Make that change
